Meet Our Doctors
"Dr. Kevin" Gilchrist
"Developing relationships with families and children is the most rewarding part of practicing pediatric dentistry. I am very fortunate to have a career that incorporates my dedication to providing high quality dental care and joy working with children. I look forward to continuing our small practice feel and patient focused philosophy in my hometown for the remainder of my career."
Dr. Kevin Gilchrist is truly home! He is a proud alumnus of North Ridge Elementary, West Millbrook Middle, and Sanderson High School. In fact, as a child he grew up as a patient of this very practice's founder, Dr. John Pfefferle. After high school, Dr. Kevin attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill completing a degree in Biology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree with honors. Dr. Kevin furthered his education with specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Kentucky. After his residency in 2008 Dr. Kevin began practicing with Dr. Don Kindrachuk in Raleigh. Dr. Kevin also went on to become board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. During his certification process he was awarded the prestigious Richard C. Pugh Award for testing in the top 3% nationally on the written board exam.
Dr. Kevin and his wife, Kelsey, have enjoyed Raleigh and all it has to offer since moving back in 2008. They have a growing family, and are the proud parents of two young boys. Their sons, Conrad and Ward, keep the Gilchrist household busy and full of excitement. In his spare time, Dr. Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer and the occasional round of golf.
"Dr. Don" Kindrachuk
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my nearly twenty years of providing dental care for children in this area. It has been a remarkably rewarding career with so many families that I have come to know both in and out of the office. When your patients are all children, it makes going to work fun and entertaining in a way that not everyone gets to experience. I am grateful for the trust that so many have put in me and my practice over the years."
Dr. Don Kindrachuk grew up in the small town of Vernon located in beautiful British Columbia. Though he loves his native home, he chose to attend dental school at the University of Kentucky in 1991 where he obtained his dental degree as well as his specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry. While in Kentucky, Dr. Don met his wife, Amy, and shortly after completing his specialty they moved to Denver, Colorado, where Dr. Don practiced as an associate in a large pediatric dental practice for three years.
When it came time to establish roots and start a family, Dr. Don and Amy decided to return to the Eastern United States, a move that put them closer to Amy's family. Dr. Don and his wife have two wonderful children. Will was born in December of 2000 and Grace joined the family in August 2003. Dr Don openly declares that "becoming a father has been the greatest blessing of my life." Aside from being a full-time dentist, devoted husband and loving father, Dr. Don still finds time for hockey, running, and biking.
