"Dr. Don" Kindrachuk

A native Canadian, (eh?) Dr. Don Kindrachuk grew up in the small town of Vernon located in beautiful British Columbia. Though he loves his native home, he chose to attend dental school at the University of Kentucky in 1991 where he obtained his dental degree as well as his specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry.

While in Kentucky, Dr. Don met his wife, Amy, and shortly after completing his specialty they moved to Denver, Colorado, where Dr. Don practiced as an associate in a large pediatric dental practice for three years.

When it came time to establish roots and start a family, Dr. Don and Amy decided to return to the Eastern United States, a move that put them closer to Amy's family. The couple moved to Raleigh in 2000 where Dr. Don began working with Dr. Pfefferle. In January of 2003, he became a full partner and officially called Raleigh his home.

Dr. Don and his wife have two wonderful children. Will was born in December of 2000 and Grace joined the family in August 2003. Dr Don openly declares that "becoming a father has been the greatest blessing of my life."

Aside from being a full-time dentist, devoted husband and loving father, Dr. Don still finds time for bible study, hockey (of course, being Canadian), and enjoys running, biking, and golfing. Don and Amy are members of Grace Community Church.

Dr. Don's "southern accent" is still work in progress; however he is proud to call North Carolina, and especially Raleigh, his home.

Dr. John"Dr. John"

Dr. John Pfefferle was born and grew up in Evansville, Indiana (a long time ago). After graduating from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, he moved to Chapel Hill, where he earned his Master's Degree and Certificate in the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry in 1980.

After practicing in Fayetteville for a year, Dr. John opened the Raleigh practice in October of 1981.

Dr. John was blessed with his first daughter Marianna in 1985, and Maddi in 1991. In addition to full time private practice, Dr. John was quite busy taking his girls to dance and gymnastics in their early years, and was involved with both girls with Indian Princesses for 8 years where he was appropriately named "Wisdom Tooth."

Dr. John feels that he was extremely blessed in his chosen career of over 20 years, but was sadly forced to retire from clinical practice in July of 2004 because of a condition in his left arm which adversely affected the fine motor skills in his left hand. When interviewed on a national television program about his life and career, Dr. John mentioned he couldn't imagine having done anything other than pediatric dentistry.

Currently, Dr. John devotes a great deal of his time organizing and leading international missionary trips with dental students. However, you may still see Dr. John "wondering about" the office. He loves it one of the "older patients" comes up and says, "Hi Dr. John, you were my dentist when I was little"! So please feel free to "bother" him, as the privilege treating your children was a very special and a very large part of his life for many, many incredible years.
